Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or book the apartment, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it to what we need to answer you and look after your stay.

Who we are

South Tyrol Holiday lets a holiday apartment in Verano (Vöran), South Tyrol, Italy. We decide how the personal information collected through this website is used, which makes us the "controller" of it under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For anything about your information, email goldwhite.bookings@gmail.com or call +44 7810 615998.

What we collect

  • When you send a booking request: your name, email address, phone number, your dates, the number of guests and anything you write in your message.
  • When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
  • When you book and stay: what we need to arrange your stay, such as your arrival time, the names of the people staying, any details the local registration rules require, and payment records.
  • If you accept analytics cookies: how you use the website, such as the pages you visit, the type of device and browser, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
  • Anonymous visitor counts from Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you: the pages visited, the referring website, and the country and type of device.
  • Our hosting provider keeps short technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the website secure and working.

How we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry or booking request and send you a quote. This is a step you ask us to take before a booking contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To confirm and manage your booking, take payment, and help you before and during your stay. This is needed to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep booking and payment records and meet local guest registration and tourist tax rules. The law requires this (Article 6(1)(c)).
  • To understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it. Anonymous, cookie-free visitor counts from Vercel are in our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); Google Analytics only runs if you accept analytics cookies (Article 6(1)(a)).
  • To keep the website secure and prevent misuse, such as spam through the forms. This is in our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we never sell your information.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who handle information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

  • Vercel, which hosts this website and provides anonymous, cookie-free visitor counts.
  • Resend, which delivers the emails sent from our booking and contact forms.
  • Google, which provides our email inbox and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics.
  • Our payment provider, when you pay a deposit or balance.

As Italian law requires, we also register every guest with the police (Alloggiati Web) and report stays for official statistics and the local tourist tax.

Transfers outside the EU and UK

Some of these providers store or process information in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under EU and UK law, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and booking requests that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Bookings and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually 6 to 10 years.
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months at most.

Cookies

The website only uses analytics cookies, and only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. Our anonymous Vercel visitor counts do not use cookies. If you click Decline, no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is saved in your browser so we do not ask again. To change it, clear this website's data in your browser settings and choose again when the banner reappears.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you or someone else in a common format. You can also object to how we use it, and withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time. To make a request, email goldwhite.bookings@gmail.com or call +44 7810 615998. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work, or to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
